Inside-Out Student Ministries' Purpose Statement
We exist to:
INITIATE meaningful contact with unchurched young people,
INTEGRATE them into a new way of life,
IGNITE a heart of passion in them, and
INVEST in their lives so that they will
IMITATE the life of Christ.
Our Group Verse:
Romans 12: 1-2
1 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life - and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. 2 Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
Who's invited?
You are!!! Well...if you're a 7th-12th grader, then you are. You're amazing, we're amazing...let's be amazing together!
Adult Staff:
Pastor David and Erin Hertweck - they're saving up love for a brand new baby, but they've got some extra love for you too
Derek and Lisa Henderson - they've got three gorgeous kids (and a fourth on the way), but they've got some extra love for you too
Gregg and Elaine Bell - they've got two hungry growing boys to feed, but they've got some extra love for you too
Andy Henderson - he's obsessed with the St. Louis Cardinals, but he's got some extra love for you too
Robbin Guiles - she's a full time nurse, but but she's got some extra love for you too
Vicky Brunner - she can book you a flight to Mars for less than $200, but she's got some extra love for you too
Peter and Kim Schultz - they're busy with their new life together, but they've got some extra love for you too
Aylan and Joanne Briedis - newlyweds; he's an enforcer of the law and she's an enforcer of the files
Youth Group:
About 50 different teenagers that all look different, smell different, and taste (?) different, but are a part of our loving, caring community.
When and where can I meet these people?
On Sundays:
Sunday School @ 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM @ the church.
Sunday School is a time for you to meet with students your age to discuss life, love, liberty, and the pursuit of God.
On Wednesday Evenings:
Youth Group Meeting @ 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM @ the church.
Wednesday evening meetings consist of good people, good music, good words, and good times.
Youth Worship Band: inside-UP plays nearly every Wed night.
Plus occasional retreats, service projects, and crazy, absurd fun events!
